This custom firmware allows you to play games requiring 5.50 and 6.00 on your PSP 3000 with 5.03 GEN-B firmware.

The Recovery mode menu is “mixed”

• The RECOVERY MODE 5.02GEN-A has been patched to run on the PSP-3000. It can change the most usual options but we encounter some problems with this VSH Recovery in and we have not managed to fix it. * Download the archive of the Custom Firmware 5.03GEN for HEN-B (PSP-3000)
* Connect your PSP to the computer via USB
* Take your PSP in USB mode with the option “USB Connection”
* Click the right mouse button on the file you downloaded,
* Choose “Extract Files …” (WinRAR is advised)
* Choose like destination the letter assigned to your PSP from your computer.
* Press OK and wait extraction files,
* Leave the “USB mode” on your PSP

Usage:.

* Go to the Game Menu > Memory Stick to start 5.03GEN B-Quick Update

* Press cross to start the application.
* Once the application starts, you have several choices:
o Press Cross to Run the patch
o Right Trigger  if you want to leave without doing anything.
o Press Cirlce for  version.txt Restores the original (useful if you sell your PSP for example)
* In our case, the first installation, you must press cross. The relevant files are flashing on your console. THERE IS NO RISK OF BRICK IN THIS TRANSACTION.
* Then, once the message “press X to reboot in CFW 5.03GEN-B” appears, press Cross to launch the Custom Firmware
* The PSP will reboot and you’re in Custom Firmware 5.03GEN-B for HEN

You stay in as a custom firmware your PSP will not be completely extinguished.

5. Press the “Extract to”
6. Select the location of your PSP and press OK

To install the program:

• Download the file in the link below
• Copy the CFWEnabler folder to your ms0:/PSP/GAME/ directory.
• Start ChickHEN R2 (minimum) from the Photo Directory
  
• Run the app called “CFW Loader for ChickHEN”. After you run the program, it will ask you to install the needed CFW modules to flash0, press circle and then “x” to start the CFW.

5. You are getting problems loading the HEN? Be sure to have copied all the images onto PHOTO dir, and if you are can’t load it, shutdown completely the PSP, restart and try again. (Pressing X when the image icon has appeared, and wait)
