A new application called Circuitous has hit Cydia created by the developer TheZimm. This application is a free alternative to ProSwitcher and allows you to easily switch between apps running in the background of your device.

It displays all the applications running in the background is a nice looking dock that slides out from the right of your screen.

This should be used with Backgrounder and then you will have a fully fledged multi-tasking iPhone.

Not only this but the app also allows you to easily kill applications by simply click on the black cross hovering above the applications icon.

Circuitous can be found for free on Cydia. Simply search for it and you will find it.

Finally! An application has been made which allows you to have a fully functioning landscape SpringBoard on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Not only this but you can switch between easily by simply rotation your device (ie live rotation).

This add-on enables SpringBoard to rotate according to the device’s orientation! It does not rotate only the icons, it rotates the whole user interface!
Switches Landscape-portrait view , rotates SpringBoard in all 4 orientations according to where iPhone is tilted to, like many applications do.
It requires a 3GS for now.
It will soon be ready to be released.

The application is not yet released but is going to hit the Cydia Store pretty soon. The price has not been decided either. Here is a video demonstration created by the developer himself.

Some people believed that little nub pictured on the iPad was perhaps a mute button which would be more proof that the iPad would make calls, but no. It’s not a muting button but a screen rotation disabler/enabler.

I think this is a great idea for the iPad as with my iPhone (which doesn’t have this) I use Rotation Inhibitor and I probably couldn’t live without it. With this rotation disabler, you will be able to surf the internet and avoid album art view if you use the iPad whilst lying down.

Deliverace is a classic top-down racing game that will be released on iPhone and Android soon.

Eric Castro has finally update the MewSeek Twitter with an estimated date of arrival of an updated version of Mewseek, a P2P music downloading program.

He has also released the news that you buy the program, it is going to cost you $9.99. However, if you buy it now whilst the app is on discount you can get it for only $6.99. Updates are free.

There is also a free version of the app BUT the free version wont allow you to add music files to the iPod.app and therefore you will need to listen to the music in the MewSeek app. Unlike the current version of MewSeek, the music syncing to iPod.app DOES now work on 3.1.2.

A new report from a supposed ‘reputable source’ has hit the internet claiming that Apple next firmware OS 4.0 may include multi-tasking, a feature sorely missed on the iPhone and iPod Touch.

AppleInsider claim that this source, who has got a lot of Apple rumors correct in the past, say that Apple have found the perfect way to include the multi-tasking feature into the firmware.

From a user-facing perspective, Apple plans to deliver a multi-tasking manager that leverages interface technology already bundled with its Mac OS X operating system, according to those same people. It was requested that specifics be withheld at this time, as the iPhone Software 4.0 remains under development and reportedly has a quite ‘way to go’ before it’s ready for prime time.

Multi-tasking is ACTUALLY already included in the iPhone firmware but Apple have locked it to only a certain few applications, iPod, Mail, SMS and Phone.

This feature would also be welcomed for iPad pre-order buyers as this was one of the features that caused many to believe that the iPad is a flop.

A new program called CanIHazRecover has been created to help users who are stuck on the boot logo of their devices and therefore cannot get to the SpringBoard without the need of restoring.

The program only works with the following devices: iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch and iPod Touch 2G non-MC model only. It also is only available for Mac users at the moment.

Hey guys, so for the past few days i’ve been playing with qTweeter, an application created by Efiko Software. It is a very easy and fast way to update your facebok status or post a tweet to twitter.

The trial version can be downloaded from the Cydia Store and costs $4.99 if you want to go for the full version as the trial only gives you a maximum of 20 tweets or status updates.

Usage is very simple. Simply slide down from the status bar and the qTweeter dialogue box will drop down and allow you to type in a message, or, using the icons across the top, you can tweet your currently playing song, a photo or your map location (with support for geotagging).

You can attach as many accounts to the program as you like, so if you like to tweet, I would recommend this program!

Monty has done it again! He has released a new theme called Adeline and it’s free for only 1 day so grab it quickly!

The theme is iPhone only but he is working on an iPod Touch version. You MUST have Iconoclasm installed on your iPhone to use this theme.

Chpwn, one of the most succesful iPhone jailbreak devs out there, has released yet another interesting SpringBoard tweak. This one is called InfiniBoard and allows vertical scrolling on your iPhone/iPod Touch.

You still have pages on your iPhone and to access them, you still scroll from the side to side but what this tweak does is allows you to store up to 100 apps on each page and with which you need to scroll vertically to get to. This means you can 1100 (not including your dock) apps on your SpringBoard.

Infiniboard is also customizable, you can set everything from the scroll bar color to where you when the lists bounce at the ends.
