In light of the OS 3.1.3 firmware update that was issued by Apple a couple of days ago, the Dev Team firstly went ahead and released a new version of their muti-OS jailbreaking tool Redsn0w.

Perhaps due to concern over the release of Sn0wybreeze which has caused some users to have trouble when jailbreak their devices, they have gone ahead and released a new version of their PwnageTool application allowing users to create custom IPSW files on Macs. Read the rest of this entry »

Doodlejump is my new favorite game. I would describe it as a revamped, much improved and much more addicting version of PapiJump [Buy it]. It has the same basic concept of trying to get as high as possible but there are many extras such as enemies, jet packs, springy boots and black holes.

I think it’s full name of Doodle Jump – BE WARNED: Insanely Addictive! [Buy it] suits it perfectly.

Another alternative to the Redsn0w jailbreak for OS 3.1.3 is Sn0wbreeze as iH8sn0w have release a new version of their program to work with OS 3.1.3.

Sn0wbreeze is essentially a Windows port of the Dev Team’s PwnageTool. It allows you to create custom IPSW firmwares (allowing you to maintain your current baseband when updating). Read the rest of this entry »

With the new Redsn0w program it is now possible to change the boot logo and enable verbose mode on OS 3.1.2 with all devices EXCEPT those with MC in their serial codes plus the iPod Touch 3rd generation.

Therefore, this guide only works on iPod Touch 1st and 2nd gen (without MC in serial code), the iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS (without MC in serial code). Read the rest of this entry »

In light of Apple stopping signing the OS 3.1.2 firmwares, you now need a saved SHSH file that Cydia has been backing up for a while now. If you have allowed Cydia to backup your SHSH BEFORE that past few days, then you will still be able to downgrade your device back to OS 3.1.2 from OS 3.1.3. Here is how to do it.
