I have always had the Rock.app program on my iPhone as I am a big users of RockYourPhone’s Intelliscreen application but up until now, I haven’t really had a good look at it.

Sorin Ionescu is an iPhone users who hates jailbreaking. He doesn’t like Cydia as he finds it buggy, ugly and promotes jailbroken apps which he believes tend to mess up your device and cause the need to restore. And yet, he needs to unlock his device.

GeoHot has gone ahead and release the second release candidate of his iPhone and iPod Touch jailbreaking tool called Blackra1n. This new version fixes alot of problems such as the Icy one and gives support to OS 3.1 out-of-the-box iPod Touch 3rd generations and the new iPhone 3GS which were feared to be unjailbreakable. GeoHot has posted a new tweet announcing that he will be releasing the RC2 of Blackra1n tomorrow which fixes the Icy problem that users have been suffering and will also include support for the new iPhone 3GS!

We will post the download once it is released.

BigBoss himself has posted an important warning on his blog telling users who are going to use the Blackra1n tool to jailbreak their devices NOT to installed Icy using it.

Apparently GeoHot has included a buggy version of Icy in the Blackra1n program and it will cause the jailbreaking process to mess and need to be restore and start all over. Read the rest of this entry »

RipDev have officially announced that they shall discontinue their support and updates of Installer for the iPhone/iPod Touch. This saddens me because Installer was essentially the birthplace of jailbreaking. When ever someone said jailbreak, I thought of Installer.
