This is for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G users who don’t have a Mac machine at home so cannot use the PwnageTool for OS 3.1 to jailbreak their devices.

Luckily, thanks to a guy called Vegetaqtd, he has put together some custom IPSW for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G with different combinations of being unlocked and hacked. Saurik has come up with a solution to the Winterboard and iPhone 3GS problem. He has updated his MoileSubstrate and WinterBoard items and they are now compatible with the iPhone 3GS. There is not much else to say except update your MobileSubstrate from Cydia and download Winterboard (make sure it’s version 0.9.2958) and theme away!

Just to inform all of your, Apple have released the new OS 3.0 for the iPhone/iPod Touch! Just know that at the moment, the OS 3.0 cannot be jailbroken thought the Dev team shall be releasing a jailbreak in the near future.
