Battery Percentage Problems have Returned

You would think that after 3 firmware updates, Apple would have done something about the battery percentage errors people were experiencing back as OS 3.0 but no, they have not. From the above screenshot sent in by Richard Sparrow on his iPhone with OS 3.1.2, you can clearly see the problem is still there.

Coca Cola has managed to find a superb trick allowing iPod Touch 3rd generation 8GB only users to downgrade their unjailbreakable OS 3.1.3 firmware devices to OS 3.1.2 without the need of a stored SHSH on Cydia. How to Change your Boot Logo on OS 3.1.2 without Restoring

With the new Redsn0w program it is now possible to change the boot logo and enable verbose mode on OS 3.1.2 with all devices EXCEPT those with MC in their serial codes plus the iPod Touch 3rd generation.

Therefore, this guide only works on iPod Touch 1st and 2nd gen (without MC in serial code), the iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS (without MC in serial code). Read the rest of this entry »

IMPORTANT: Apple Stop Signing OS 3.1.2

Apple have decided to strike back at jailbreakers today and have stopped signing the OS 3.1.2 firmware for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Stuck on ‘Restoring from Backup’? – Here is the Fix!

I have just made the jump from OS 3.0 to OS 3.1.2 on the iPhone 3GS and encountered an error that when I did some research seems to be affecting quite a few users out there. This is the ‘Restoring from Backup’ loop that you suffer when you try and restore a backup of your phone onto your recently restored iPhone.

This is not only relating the the OS 3.0 to OS 3.1.2 jump but can happen to everyone on any firmware but regardless, we have a fix that works on any firmware. Read the rest of this entry »
