They have filled lawsuits to more than 35,000 people since then.

But now, the RIAA has decided to STOP sueing individuals for music piracy. They have announced they shall continue to try and stop people by the ISP (internet service providers). The RIAA will immediately contact the ISP about how is downloading pirated music. The ISP will then connect the pirate and say if they dont stop they will either cancel your internet connection or reduce the speed you get.

This pretty much only counts for the USA because the RIAA is based in America. The RIAA have said that they will still go after heavy uploaders and repeat offenders.
