Google have gone ahead and released a new product called Buzz. It is a social application which allows you to write statuses privately or publicly and easily share images, YouTube videos, Flickr or Twitter updates.
Much like in Twitter you can even ‘follow’ people statuses and ‘like’ them as well. The people whom you follow will have their statuses displayed in your Gmail on your content stream.
Buzz is fully incorporated with Gmail allowing you to post statuses whilst you are writing your emails.
The statuses also work with Google Maps allowing you to share you location, if you post from a GPS-enabled phone, on your statuses.
Google Buzz has a fully supported mobile version but I’m sure they will be releasing an iPhone app in near future for it.
