Cyder is a program that allows you to download Cydia applications onto your computer and transfer them over to your device. This is the perfect program for users who do not have wifi or a 3G connection but have access to a computer.
The creators have gone ahead and released a new version of the device including some new features and bug fixes (basically EVERY error on version one has been resolved).

Thanks a bunch, Cyder was working fine until I upgraded to 3.1.3 Ive been without it for a couple months. I kept getting no iphone found and file error until I read about the afc2add. Installed, rebooted and wallah. Allot of people dont understand the point of cyder but for me it is a invaluable tool saving so much time. What surprises me is that it is just about the only one of its kind. Cheers!
does cyder 2 works with iphone 3g 3.1.3 , as i am trying to use it but its unable to have sources from cydia automatically or manually. plz help!!!
i got iphone 3g its jailbroken cydia installed but offcourse its locked coz it sadly got 5.9 bootrom

Yeah technically it should work. You will need afc2add from Cydia before using it though

What is the error message or whatever that you get exactly?
error message does not appear , but it’s not loading sources also when i add sources manually it still does’nt work , is it the compatibility issue as i got iphone 3g 3.1.3 ?

I had the same issue, but I managed to download apps through Cyder and then put them into the Cydia’s Auto-Install folder. The only issue for me is that the apps don’t install. The .deb files remain in the Auto-Install folder and don’t actually install. Any thoughts?

I have successfully jail-broken my Iphone3G using blackrain. But I cannot Install cydia on it to unlock because my internet provider has blocked the blackrain site. But I managed to download and install it in my iphone using some proxy server which opens the blocked sites. Using Cyder 2, is it possible to download using my windows PC and install cydia in Iphone.

If you don’t have Cydia on your iPhone already, you have not succesfully jailbroken your device. You are going to need to try and do it again. What firmware do you have?

Hi, I just jailbroke my iPod Touch first gen today, and have cydia, but due to the change of password to my wifi (my dad knows but isnt here to fix it) I can’t use cydia.
Therefore, I downloaded cyder (1st version)
I added the sources, I selected the packages i wanted and i downloaded them, the only problem was that it wouldnt copy to the auto install folder. I would click the arrow- and nothing would happen.
I have now downloaded cyder 2 and am trying to use that instead, but at the bottom, where it says the iPod is connected, when i click ‘get sources from cydia’ it says file error. I have absolutely no idea what to do :S

i av a strange issue with cyder2. when i copy sources to cydia, i get no error from cyder2 but wen i open cydia, i get an error dat about duplicating sources n later says error parsing dependencies or somtin like dat. i dont know what to do pls help. been using cyder2 for months with no issues.

Hi. I have a jailbroken/unlocked iphone 2g and i recently downloaded cyder 2, i jailbroke with redsn0w and i tried to get sources from cydia and other stuff. Idk what to do. I dont know if i should use a proxy im on a version 3.0 on my 2g. It doesnt show any errors, it shows everything correctly but it doesnt get the sources or packages or nothing. Idk what to do. Help!
