FreePlay was the first person to manage to hack the PSP Go. He managed to get a ‘Hello Word’ exploit working on it and he has now finally released it to the world for us to try.
The exploit itself sparked A LOT of debate about whether or not it was real. I’m guessing it was released to try and stop all the arguing. However there is also bad news. Sony heard about the exploit and have patched it in their latest firwmare 6.20.
I told you it wasn’t fake, but some of you still didn’t believe me. You need firmware 6.10 or below, and the game of course. The exploit was patched in 6.20, and the PSN version of the game was updated to require 6.20. The eLoader isn’t happening at all unless I can get a 6.10 firmware dump from the Go, which this exploit can’t do. It would probably be best to wait until an XMB-based exploit comes along… game-based exploits are too easy to block.
So if you have a PSP Go and haven’t updated to firmware 6.20, you can use the bottom file to try out the Hello World on your device.
Instructions on how to use the exploit are available in the download.
