Finally it is possible. The need for SSH and Total Commander is over! With this revolutionary plugin, iPhone and iPod Touch users are able to access the filesystem of their devices like with any other USB device through My Computer without any additional program running.
iPhone Folders is a Windows Explorer extension that allows you to browse contents of your iPhone or iPod Touch like a regular removable drive. After installation you’ll find it in My Computer folder.
Using this extension you can browse your phone filesystem, copy files to and from it, open files directly from iPhone, create shortcuts to folders on iPhone. In thumbnail mode program will display previews of png and jpg files on phone, application icons for installed applications (.app folders).
Compatible with x86 editions of Windows XP, Vista, 7 and x64 editions of Windows XP, Vista (unlike Vista, Windows 7 x64 can’t be forced to execute Windows Explorer in 32bit mode, so no Win7 x64 support for now). Requires iTunes 8 or 9 for normal operation. Supports jailbroken and non-jailbroken phones (in the later case filesystem access is limited to Media folder).
With this app, SSH is no longer necessary leaving your jailbroken iPhone’s safe from virus such as the one created by Ikee. This is because this one, like the Total Commander hack, use USB rather than an internet connection.

This looks interesting, but what do you know about the developer? I don’t install software from unknown sources. Can anyone vouch for this?
Not as handy, but iPhoneBrowser works without SSH or WiFi too.
You can check out the developers website here: http://iphonefolders.com/
You can read about success stories of people who have installed it on iPodTouchFans: http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=265343
T-PoT plugin for TotalCommander is very nice free piece and no SSH is needed too…
Ya that is what I used until this was released. This is better for me because you don’t need an additional program. You can simply use it through Windows Explorer like any other USB device.
Could you briefly explain the other way to get into themes…
Actually using the Ipod/Internet?
Thanks!
The other way is using the application Cydia which is installed once you jailbreak your iPhone/iPod Touch. Through there, you can download thousands of themes straight to your device and enable them using a program called Winterboard.
