This is for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G users who don’t have a Mac machine at home so cannot use the PwnageTool for OS 3.1 to jailbreak their devices.
Luckily, thanks to a guy called Vegetaqtd, he has put together some custom IPSW for the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G with different combinations of being unlocked and hacked. You simply restore this as normal through iTunes (I believe, correct me if I am wrong). Downoad links after the break!
The download come in two parts due to RapidShare’s limits. You need WinRAR (495) to extract the files. You should select both of them, right click and click extract with WinRAR. They should automatically extract and combine the two parts.
