YoshiHiro Allows you to Play New Games on Old Firmwares!

YoshiHiro is incredible! As we anticipated, he has managed to create an app which allows you to play your backuped games requiring new firmwares such as 5.55 (and 6.00?) on older firmwares such as 5.00m33!

EDIT: From reading around, a lot of people have managed to get US versions of Gran Tourismo to work on their PSPs. However the UK version will not work.

YoshiHiro Working on PSP Apps for Playing new Games on Old Firmwares

According to some sources, the PSP coder YoshiHiro is working on and close to completion of an app which allows you to play new games requiring higher firmwares than your PSP has i.e. the Gran Tourismo game requires 6.00 however this app would allow you to play it on 5.00m33 or 5.50GEN-a! Minigore Episode 2 Rejected Yet Again – 99 Beta Spots Available

The developers working on the Episode 2 of the popular iPhone and iPod Touch game called Minigore must be going crazy. There game has been rejected by Apple for a second time this time because of a corrupted binary.

Orange UK to Offer iPhone

O2 are soon longer going to be the sole iPhone distributors in the UK. The deal between them and Apple is going to end on Oct. 9 and that is going open the way for other carriers to jump on the iPhone bandwagen.

Bad News from Sony – No More for the UMD Goodwill Service

Sony has released some very bad news for older PSP owners who were planning on updating to the new device, the PSP Go!

SnakeDOS finally released!

Remember the much anticipated SnakeDOS game for the iPhone and iPod touch?  Well it’s finally out!

SnakeDOS is a very retro styled version of Snake, represented as if it were being run in MS-DOS.  For a limited time it’s selling for $0.99 on the AppStore.  The developer, Andy Lin, says that there’s some new modes on their way, including multiplayer, so buy now and get the future upgrades for cheaper.

Wizdaz, one of the members of the Dev Team, under his company name MediaPhone has released information relating to a new projec they are working on. It called SmartScreen and it looks incredible.

What it does essentially is the same as IntelliScreen, it brings all your information to the lockscreen in the form of widgets. I would actually say that their version seems to be more powerful/impressive than IntelliScreen actually does. Read the rest of this entry »
