Sony have unveiled the new, slimmer PS3 at the GamesCon convention yesterday. It is going to be sold at a price of only $300 on September 1 (for North America and Europe) and September 3 (for Japan).
It is sold with a 120GB hard-drive and is much slimmer and lighter. It is actually 32 percent smaller than the current PS3 and takes up less power and yet does everything the current one does.
In light of this new release, they have reduced the current PS3′s price bringing it down to $300 for 80GB. A bit strange because why would anyone buy it when you can get the Slim for the same price.
