How to Buy an iPhone 3G S for Under $700 on Apple’s Website

Here is an interesting little trick that was posted by yiflanlu on Xsellize showing users who have $600 to spare and want to get an iPhone 3G S earlier. Just know this is unconfirmed and may not work. Here is how he did it. It involves using Firebug and editing the webpage to add the iPhone 3G S when the website thinks your adding someting else. Anyways, you need Firefox + Firebug (www.getfirebug.com)

1. Go to any non-apple product in the store.apple.com (e.x: http://store.apple.com/us/product/TV…mco=NjM0MTMwMw)
2. Click on the little FireBug icon on the bottom of the screen, now Firebug pops up and click “Inspect”, and choose the “Add to cart Icon”
3. In firebug, right above where it’s highlighted, you should see “<input type=”hidden” value=”TV943VC/A” name=”product”/>”. Click on “TV943VC/A” and change it to the value of the iPhone you want:

4. Now click on the Add to Cart button, and the iPhone should be in your cart. Proceed to buy it if you want.
