  7. john says:

Does not work everytime i open it its loading error

    • Random says:

You may have a corrupted install. Make sure the program is uninstalled in control panel, then go to your c drive and find the QuickFreedom folder – delete it. For some reason the uninstaller missed these on mine and kept causing a “form loading error”. Resolved now.

  8. admin says:

Hmmm… try redownloading it. Maybe the file got corrupted as you downloaded it. What type of Windows are you on? XP?

  9. edison says:

why do i get an error when restoring my ipod?

  10. Mr.Voyou says:

    You guys rule.
    It works like magic.
    2 points though:
    * If you have a localised windows, you will need to create a directory “Desktop” next to the directory representing your desktop in your language (in c:\users and settings\myuser\)
    * Unlike a comment I’ve read, you don’t lose your music library. At the very end of the process, when Itunes comes up saying it has detected a new Ipod “do you want to restore it from original Ipod backup or syncronise a new one”, just say this is a new Ipod, and when it asks for the new name, give it the name you already had on your ipod. All the content will be redownloaded to you Ipod !

    Good luck, have fun !

I have the white screen on my ipod but my itunes won’t recognize my ipod? how am i supposed to restore??

  12. sebastian says:

i did everything right, but when i restored it, the ipod screen went black. then it said an error occured (13).
and i did it several times and started the jailbreakover but it kept happening, help…

  13. sebastian says:

nvm!!!! i went in troubleshooting, then, it said to download Originl firmware, so i did then i downloaded the custome firmware then it worked.

  14. Ronan says:

Does anyone know what i can do??

  15. admin says:

Hold down both buttons on your iPod/iPhone until it goes off, then plug it into the computer and let go of the power button BUT KEEP holding the other button. Keep holding it until your computer recognizes it. It should be restored then.

  16. Ronan says:

quickfreedom recognizes my ipod in recovery mode. But when i open itunes and my ipod is plugged in with the white screen it doesn’t recognize it at all so i can’t put the custom firmware on it. Do i need to have my ipod restored to factory state before i begin this?

  27. admin says:

Glad it worked for you guys!

  28. Matt says:

ok so it worked but i turned it off and it won’t turn back on, it’s just stuck on the apple logo, so i plugged it in to see and now it just keeps making that “plugged in” noise….btw i had installed tethered and semi-tethered jailbreaks before this which lowered my capacity to 6.74GB can anyone help plz, how can i start ALL over, maybe?

  29. admin says:

Matt, you’re going to weant to restore it to factory settings. To do this, firstly turn your iPod completely off by holding down both buttons on the iPod, the home button and the on/off button. Once it has gone off KEEP holding down the two buttons, plug it into the computer and when you hear the plugged in noise, let go off the on/off button but keep holding the home button.

Eventually the restore picture with the cable and the iTunes logo should come up. Then just restore from iTunes like normal.

  30. Connor says:

    whats DFU mode. lol noob

  31. admin says:

It is a state that you put your iPhone/iPod Touch in. It makes it as if you just got it from the ‘factory’. Here is a guide on how to enter DFU mode: http://blog.alltechrelated.com/iphone-ipod-touch/how-to-enter-dfu-restore-mode/

  45. Kerri says:

For some reason I can't install LIBUSB but I can download the Firmware, however, I can see that it installed on my C drive. • admin says:

If you’re iPod Touch is new ie the 2nd or 3rd generation iPod Touch, DONT USE THIS PROGRAM. Use Blackra1n which is for OS 3.1.2. Is easier than this one.

BUT if you have a 3rd gen, it is a tethered jailbreak meaning you have to run a program on your computer whilst the iPod is plugged in to reboot it into jailbroken mode after shutting it off completely. 2nd and 1st gen don’t have this problem.
